Hi, I'm Leigh and this is David. We own and operate The Furnishing Affair. Our business started out in 1976 and was initially purely focused on curtains. We found this very successful, but often would find ourselves being asked about other aspects of furnishing, so naturally we just had to diversify into all aspects of interior design, from gift ware, soft furnishings right through to accessories. Of course along with this we also offer a home consultancy service where we go to a person’s home and give advice on décor, furnishings, upholsteries, and accessories.
We are located in the Raumati Beach Village because of the atmosphere. Everybody here owns and operates their own businesses. We are a nice bunch down here. Personally I can't stand the whole enclosed mall atmosphere. Here we have the beach at our door step and it's so open. Not to mention the Village is a much better location for the type of specialty shopping that our business offers.
We have built our business on personal service. We really like to get to know our clients and work out what they need, so a lot of our selling is done outside the shop while in our client’s homes. We like to go out, have a chat, see their surroundings and from there we are better able to advise them on how to proceed. Everything we suggest we can make and install, including curtains, blinds, bedspreads, cushions, pelmets, bed heads, re-upholstery, and if you are considering upgrading your kitchen we can design and build it for you. We approach every project with a flair, passion and enthusiasm that is backed up with 30 years experience in the industry.
So come down and visit us at the Raumati Beach Village or just give us a call. We have a fantastic community here and would love to have a chat about all your furnishing needs.
We'd love to see you soon...
