Hi, I'm Sheldon. I’m a person who’s always been passionate about photography. Ever since I was a teenager I’ve had a camera in my hand.

I started out in London where I spent six years as a portrait photographer. During this time I traveled extensively throughout Europe, camera in hand, soaking up the cultural diversity and variety that the various countries I visited had to offer. The inspiration and experience I gained on these journeys enabled me to survive the grayness of the English winters and helped me hone and develop my skills with the camera.

After six years I had had enough of living in London and moved back to New Zealand in 2005. I managed a photo lab in Wellington for a period, but felt it was time to do what I had always yearned to, set up my own business. Persona Photography was the business I started. I chose to locate in the Raumati Beach Village because I have always been a person who loved the coast, the space, and the natural surroundings.

At Persona we offer a wide range of products and services including school photography, weddings, portraits, fine arts, landscapes and printing photos to canvas. A lot of the fine arts photography I do is printed to canvas with a special texture added to the surface to produce a unique look and feel. Having come from the big city environment of London I am currently drawing a lot of inspiration for my work from the natural surroundings of the Kapiti Coast.

When it comes to weddings and portraits I have found that clients like and respond to my flexibility and relaxed style. I am not a stressed type of person and am very approachable and easy to work with.
